So far I have been on the right tract with right view. The monk explained how to tell if something is wholesome or not. If something causes suffering it is unwholesome. You have to look at it and see what needs to be changed. Doing  something unwholesome over and over and expecting different results does not work.  This is not something that one learns in  a day.  It is a lifetime  exercise learning what is wholesome and what it unwholesome.
The key is suffering. It can be tricky. A drug user sees the drugs as wholesome,  if he becomes addicted, it leads to suffering. Why to we allow a relative to constantly cause of suffering. Right View established that  it causes suffering.  Examine the situation, determine what part of the act is unwholesome and change that to something wholesome. Suffering is the key. When you suffer, it is from the unwholesome.
